Su historia empezó en la universidad, siendo compañeros. Luego llegó la pandemia, un mensaje por una clase virtual y, años después, estaban celebrando su boda en Medellín rodeados de 130 personas que viajaron para acompañarlos.
Pero hay un detalle de esta historia que me encanta: poco después de empezar la relación, el novio le dijo al hermano de la novia que ella sería su esposa. El hermano, obviamente, pensó que era la emoción de estar empezando algo nuevo.
Y bueno… aquí están, en su matri. 🤍
Lo que más me gustó de fotografiar ese día fue ver que no solo estaban enamorados, estaban genuinamente felices de estar juntos. De esos novios que se miran y uno siente que hay toda una historia detrás de esa mirada.
La celebración fue en Roca y Casona, una locación relativamente nueva en Medellín, con una espectacular casona de estilo español y tantos rincones bonitos que dan ganas de hacer fotos en todas partes.
Este vlog llega mientras las fotos y videos oficiales están listas, así que aquí va un pequeño vistazo a cómo se sintió esta boda destino en Medellín.

Their story started at university, as classmates. Then came the pandemic, a message during a virtual class and, years later, they were celebrating their wedding in Medellín surrounded by 130 people who traveled to be there with them.
Not long after they started dating, the groom told the bride’s brother that she would be his wife. He thought it was just the excitement of something new.
Well… here they are, at their wedding. 🤍
What I loved most about photographing them was that they weren’t just in love, they were genuinely happy to be together. The kind of couple whose looks tell an entire story.
The celebration took place at Roca y Casona, a beautiful Spanish-style venue in Medellín with countless corners made for photographs.

Si hay un lugar en Colombia que podría ser perfectamente como la peli de Encanto, para mí es Cauca Viejo Antioquia. Sus calles, sus colores, sus montañas... fue el escenario perfecto para Cata y César, unos novios de película.
Pero hay algo que me quedó aún más en el corazón de este día. Cata me dijo varias veces que yo había sido su ángel, que le transmití paz y tranquilidad en un día tan importante para ella. Y de verdad, escuchar algo así significa muchísimo para mí. Porque más allá de hacer fotografía de bodas y contar historias con mi lente, siempre quiero que mis novias sientan que tienen a alguien de su lado, que las acompaña, las calma y está ahí para cuidar cada momento.
Gracias, Cata, por tus palabras. Las aprecio demasiado y me voy feliz de haber sido parte de este capítulo tan bonito, les deseo lo mejor, lo merecen.

If there’s one place in Colombia that feels like it could have come straight out of Disney’s Encanto, for me, it’s Cauca Viejo Antioquia. Its streets, colors, and mountains... it was the perfect setting for Cata and César, a truly movie-worthy couple.
But there’s something else from this day that stayed even closer to my heart. Cata told me several times that I had been her angel, that I brought her peace and calm on such an important day. And honestly, hearing something like that means so much to me.
Because beyond photographing weddings and telling stories through my lens, I always want my brides to feel like they have someone by their side: someone who supports them, calms them, and is there to take care of every moment.
Thank you, Cata, for your words. I appreciate them more than you know, and I’m so happy I got to be part of this beautiful chapter of your story. I wish you both nothing but the best. You truly deserve it.

Cuando una pareja ama las fotos, se nota. Y con ellos, honestamente, todo fluyó demasiado fácil.
Viven en Bogotá, pero decidieron hacer una boda destino en Medellín y viajar con sus familias y amigos para celebrar juntos.
Se conocieron en Bumble en 2020, su primera cita fue con tapabocas frente a la Puerta de Alcalá, después vivieron en Madrid y terminaron estudiando en la misma universidad… de pura casualidad.
Y es que Bumble se está convirtiendo en la nueva Celestina, muchos de mis novios se han conocido por ahí y hoy están construyendo una vida juntos, planeando una boda y celebrando una historia que comenzó con un match.
Y luego están ellos frente a una cámara: les encanta posar, se divierten y confían. Así que nosotros felices, porque cuando una pareja disfruta tanto el proceso, hacer fotografías se vuelve un sueño.
Mientras termino de editar todas las fotos de este matri —porque de verdad quiero mostrárselas TODAS jajaj—, disfruten este pequeño vlog del día.

When a couple loves photos, it shows. And with them, honestly, everything just flowed so easily.
They live in Bogotá, but they decided to have a destination wedding in Medellín and travel with their families and friends to celebrate together.
They met on Bumble back in 2020. Their first date was wearing face masks in front of the Puerta de Alcalá, then they lived in Madrid and ended up studying at the exact same university… by pure coincidence.
The truth is, Bumble is becoming the new Cupid; so many of my couples met there and today they are building a life together, planning a wedding, and celebrating a story that all started with a match.
And then you see them in front of a camera: they love to pose, they have fun, and they trust the process. So we are absolutely thrilled, because when a couple enjoys it this much, taking photos becomes a dream.

He came to Colombia to learn Spanish and ended up finding something much harder to leave behind: Elizabeth.
Since then, their story has been a beautiful mix of love, airplanes, new cities, and a shared curiosity for the world. London, Bogotá, Paris, Brussels, Madrid, Washington, Chicago… and a list of countries that looks like it came straight out of an adventure map: Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Iceland, Guatemala, Mexico, Greece, Costa Rica, Peru, Kenya, Tanzania, and so many more.
Colombia wasn’t just where they met. It was the beginning of a life they’re still building together, a journey that has taken them around the world and, somehow, always brought them back here.
And how beautiful that they can now celebrate their story in the very place where, without really looking for it, it all began.
And here in Medellín, an amazing team of vendors came together to bring this celebration to life, and I was lucky enough to be behind the camera documenting it.

Él vino a Colombia a aprender español y terminó encontrando algo mucho más difícil de dejar atrás: an Elizabeth.
Desde entonces, su historia ha sido una mezcla preciosa de amor, aviones, mudanzas y ganas de descubrir el mundo juntos. Londres, Bogotá, París, Bruselas, Madrid, Washington, Chicago… y una lista de países que parece sacada de un mapa de aventuras: Tailandia, Vietnam, Camboya, Islandia, Guatemala, México, Grecia, Costa Rica, Perú, Kenia, Tanzania y muchos más.
Colombia no fue solamente el lugar donde se conocieron, fue el principio de una vida que todavía siguen construyendo, un viaje que los ha llevado por el mundo y, de alguna manera, siempre los ha traído de vuelta aquí.
Y qué bonito que ahora puedan celebrar su historia en el lugar donde, sin buscarlo demasiado, comenzó todo.
Y aquí, en Medellín, nos reunimos un increíble equipo de proveedores para hacer realidad esta celebración, y yo tuve la suerte de estar detrás de la cámara para documentarla.

Kathe y Ana se casaron en Villa de Leyva, uno de esos lugares que siempre tienen algo especial.
Tuve la fortuna de acompañarlas ese día y, aunque minutos antes de la ceremonia parecía que iba a llover, el clima nos dio una tregua. Al final salió una tarde espectacular, perfecta para celebrar su amor rodeadas de su familia y amigos.
Creo que esas son las bodas que más disfruto fotografiar: las que, incluso cuando parecen salirse del plan, terminan regalando momentos que nadie habría podido imaginar.

Kathe and Ana got married in Villa de Leyva, one of Colombia’s most magical places.
I had the privilege of documenting their wedding day, and although it looked like it was about to rain just minutes before the ceremony, the weather gave us a break. In the end, it turned into the most beautiful afternoon to celebrate with their family and friends.
Those are the weddings I enjoy photographing the most—the ones that don’t go exactly as planned but end up creating the most unforgettable moments.
